Vessels – Corleone – GNOD – Making Faces
Vessels: Four piece from Leeds recently featured on Radio 1 call in at Manchester on their UK tour to promote their first single release “Yuki/Forever the Optimist” on Cuckundoo Records. Vast expanse of chiming glacial guitars, electronic squelches and turbulent rythyms that incorporate exhilarating bursts of sound with gorgeously sedate introspective moments. “Dynamic post rock that stalks around the room before launching itself out the window” Steve Lamaq.
()
Corleone: Think of every good band that you would like in your music collection and then think Corleone. This Sheffield four piece bring spine tingling moments of beautiful melody, packed tight against big, hard edged soundscapes. A few big city gigs followed by a mini tour in France later in the year.
()
GNOD: Are you ready for GNOD? Influenced by Sun Ra, Ash Ra Temple, Krautrock and music from around the world GNOD communicate with distanced sounds of semi-tribal percussion and the hub-hub of electrical signals. Industrial noises honed into an ethereal package of inner city sounds. IN GNOD WE TRUST AND MAY GNOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL!
()
Making Faces: Being in a whirlpool of emotional feedback and hypnotic sounds. Think Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, 65 Days of Static and you get the picture.
