...and any that should be avoided at all costs?

Blockbusters first: Contrary to my preconceptions, MI:3 is actually not bad at all, while X Men 3 is, surprisingly, utter shit in comparison to Bryan Singer's original two. I mean it, it is bad.

If you're feeling cultured, Daniel Tanovic's adaptation of the Kieslowski-scripted Hell (L'enfer) is okay, while Brick and The Squid and The Whale are both worth a gander.

Brick is an interesting concept and exciting to watch. I thought it was a tad ridiculous though and the accents and slang are sometimes hard to grasp.

C.R.A.Z.Y is quite a good little French film about a family growing up in the 70s and particularly focuses on the homo son and homophobic father. The father's character is the best bit.

Junebug is watchable and mildly amusing. City art dealer woman meets boyfriends hillbilly parents via hillbilly prospective artist.

erm.... what else have I seen? I've seen a few recently actually 'cos I've got this unlimited card from Cineworld which comes in handy when I'm skint.

oh yeah....

Confetti has a quality cast but is utterly riddled with tired cliches. Avoid.

ROMANCE & CIGARETTES is quite fun for about half an hour and then it gets a bit tiresome. They keep bursting into song you see.

I saw Romance and Cigarettes and enjoyed it. Normally I avoid musicals like the plague but the cast is excellent - the scenes with Christopher Walken are hilarious.

Also saw 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis, a half decent thriller which is not too demanding.
