I read it on an ipod user forum. They were pretty peeved that there was still no gapless support on the new models.

I have just updated the firmware on the iriver ihp-140 and it has a gap killer. Works pretty well except on spoken word (comedy mp3's). I suppose it's the formats and how they are decoded really. MP3 is not gapless nor do I believe is AAC/MP4. However Ogg Vorbis, which the i-river players support is natively gapless.

Going to buy a big mp3 player tomorrow with xmas £, have got a shuffle which I dont like as it is too sensitive in your pocket and fits very few tracks on it, had a small iriver before but that again held too few.

Basically not fussed about video clips or anything other than holding lots of tracks, being durable, easy to use and not to be out of date in a weeks time. 15,000 track ipod for £300 seems the best option but also very ££££, any suggestions?
