Mexicano is the best cheese in the world - fact. I can't eat at the moment but if I could i'd be eating mexicano melted on a french stick. Mmmm - i'm a cheese slut.

RIGHT

goats' cheese is good but can get a little claggy. a nice mature cheddar or strong stilton is beautiful, but i guess kind of boring in cheese terms.

ilchester mexicana is nice but sometimes it can be a little overpowering if you're using it in combination with other things (crackers, in a sandwich, with dips). wensleydale with cranberries is delightful but yes, it's far too crumbly and can get a little sickly due to its fruity aura.

i'm also a fan of the creamier french cheeses (from your port salou or st martin through to your brie and your camembert), however to a cheese connoisseur the kind you can pick up in your average UK supermarket can be a tad bland...

i've recently discovered this posh cheddar with pickled onion and herbs (from sainsburys) that is the ultimate accompaniment to water biscuits - don't gorge on it before going on a date or anything though!

now let's talk halloumi. fuck, yeah. halloumi is possibly the most awesomest foodstuff known to man (i'm not just talking in the cheese world here) - when tommy sings "cheese is a kind of meat, a tasty yellow beef" in the boosh he's obviously talking about grilled halloumi. when i eat it, it's like my tongue is having sex. i am salivating heavily right now.
