robbie williams (i can't beleive someone who's been so suceessful in the pop business that long still has such a weak, fake american accented voice. the just guy can't sing. i want to punch the radio every time i hear his smug faced, talentless, nasal whine. "he's an entertainer" people say. wrong. he's a cunt.)

bruce springsteen (sound like his head's going to explode and i hate all that air-punching bombast that comes with it)

but my worst ever is:

DIDO (oh my god dido. she actually makes my brain hurt and my eye twitch. how can something a simple as a girl's singing voice make me want to do such bad things? she manages to give the impression of being waaaay out of tune when she is actually not. something about that flatness of delivery just makes everything that comes out of her mouth flop with a dead, soulless palour that infects your head and makes you want to gasp for air. she has abolutely no discernibale personality or character. none. it's not even like "deadpan" is her thing. it's like the sound of a singing corpse. it's the exact opposite of soulful, sexy and joyous. she is the anti-aretha. she is everything karen o, joanna newsom or ella fitzgerald are not. have you ever been in a completely acoustically dead room? it's like that. that's what her voice sounds like. the feeling of shutting the door behind you and suddenly being very-aware-of-the-crushing-weight-of-the-air-around-you-and-the-deafening-silence-the-blood-rushing-in-your-ears-and-oh-GOD I CAN'T BREATHE! GET ME OUT OF HERE!
