Agreed on Wire.

First thee albums are a must.

I prefer Chairs missing a liitle more now though.

Nice to see my life story up their. i was listening to the extened 18 reasons why i love you just the other day.

agree with all about wire. how to go from angular art punk to totally out there psychedelic art punk in three records. for my preference its 154 but if youre starting from scratch do them in order - they sort of lead on to each other, and pink flag is the most immediate. other records and solo projects have worthwhile stuff but lack the true genius of the first three. they were another of those bands that no-one was really interested in at the time (i saw them in a half empty erics in liverpool) but had massive influence

terry and gerry ahhhh!
only one album but that man was a genius with a catchy tune and a chorus about the futility of consumerism. if you never saw them live you really missed a treat, gerry colvin comes second only to richman in my list of great live performers. he still writes and plays as part of colvinquarmby on the folk circuit but very rarely play the south east

my life story.
i could just cut and paste the above. great tunes, great lyrics, great choruses. bonkers live shows. jake cant sing to save his life but when youre that fantastic....
