All sounds great, apart from the fact that I'm going with a mate and we don't have a tent or sleeping bag between us! So at the mo I think we may just have to sleep in my car, as I've got a parking ticket, and head off the next morning. Thus allowing me to a) drink and b) not risk killing us both by driving 2 hours on the motorway in the early hours (I'm not a very experienced driver). Any advice on parking there?

Either are poor options!

Did some extensive searching of train timetables and you're bollocksed trying to get back to Soton regardless of what odd route you try to take.

I'd say jump on the train into town and go clubbing til the next morning (by clubbing I'm not talking about Ministry of Sound/Fabric type clubs but stuff like the Mean Fiddler or one of the other indie/rock ones).

Plenty of places don't kick out til after 6am (you can always have a kip in a club if you get too tired and emotional). First Waterloo to Soton is at 5.30am.

There used to be a couple of places in Reading that ran club nights til the early hours during the festival. I'll have a look around and see what I can find.

I know on the Thursday they have a massive bash in the Rivermead Centre next to the site, although I ain't got a clue how long that goes on for... Or whether it's on the Friday night or not 'n' all... hmm.

And I assume if Ro-oh-ose is too poor to afford to go to Reading for the weekend I assume she's too poor to go out clubbing in bloody London...!
