My word, Liverpool and Spurs fans must have been disappointed to see Duff go to Newcastle for only 5 million. He's supposed to be a Liverpool fan 'n' all. So what do we reckon to our team's signings?

City have made a couple of good uns in two defensive midfielders in Didi Hamman and Dabo but not sure why we've bought two forwards in Dickov (too old) and Corradi (poor goal record and has played for too many teams to trust) when we need a creative midfielder and wingers (we had 2 but Stu released them). Still 4 weeks to go though...

Not strictly Premiership (at the moment) but the mighty Saints have signed a player called Pele! And also a goal keeper who won't be anywhere near as good as Niemi. Yay

I don't think Boro have signed anyone yet apart from some 17 year old. We need to get some new players for the start of the season as the Fat Eddie Murphy has gone and so has Doriva. The french Franc is also on his way possibly to Fulham. We nearly signed Huth from Chelsea until we found out that he's crocked.

Duff's a good player, so glad to have him on board, though I'm not sure another attacking midfielder's really our top priority. How about a decent striker? Or a reliable defender?

But glad to see we finally got shot of Bowyer. Poisonous man. Shame on you, West Ham.
