after watching love is all last night and finding that the only thing i didnt like about them was the screeching vocals of the frontwoman, i ended up thinking on the way home about how few female fronted bands i actually like.
in fact i'm struggling to think of any
help me out, there must be some good ones

well i wouldnt include sixties girl groups because its not really the sort of thing i'm talking about.

Hmmmm. There's plenty of others I like (Dressy Bessy, Ravonettes, Belly, Garbage etc) but not sure how many would make the top 100.

Actually, I'm not sure I have 100 bands I like (as opposed to "don't mind").

Women in bands who should've been kept away from the mic:

Women in bands we should've heard more from:
