Having said that, I just can't feel a bit irritated by anyone (including PR agents/Press) that go on about someone's beauty or good looks as being in any way relevent to their music. [In this case it strikes me that she is simply playing the game. Great. Empower yourself. Get men to wank over you. You get rich. Everybody wins. I guess. If that's the game]. I'd like to think that music was more important - perhaps the only important thing (ok, perhaps I should shag more musicians, or just one, to find out). Although I guess we can't separate sex from music (because it helps to sell the product, no matter how shit it is. Hello, Amy Whitehouse, Natalie Imbruglia): do we get 'trained' to think this way by record companies, or is just part of our sexual genes? Oh I dunno, sometimes it does my head trying to be PC and then getting turned on (erm, hello Natalie Imbruglia - NOOOO! her music is shit. Phew. My judgement is sound). But it should be irrelevant - or should it not be (discuss)? Of course, the flip side is that we can get a right bunch of ugly fuckers, eg the Happy Mondays. But gave hope to ugly blokes everywhere. As long as they were in named band, of course.

TT for PM. I have no idea what angle Anarchy and Pol were aiming for. My argument, as always, is with people, not women, who tie their looks in with their music - thank you Tony for echoing my thoughts. I'm all for women loving themselves, though i'd like to think that their sense of self worth comes from within as the looks wither. How can somebody like Leanah be taken seriously when she is selling herself like a personal ad? It should have been all about the music. If she had said that she sung 'Ring o ring o bloody roses' to the 'Hammer time' tune and not mentioned her looks she would have got a thumbs up from me (well she wouldn't have but I would have said good luck to her) We all have a pet hate and mine is this whole image/music connection shite - it's the equivalent of a model about to walk the catwalk and the designer saying 'But can you play the bass?' Ey? I'll never understand it. It should be all about the music.

Cavey, I bought the Regina Spektor album the other week simply because I got barred up watching the Us video... for 4 hours. Does that make me a bad person...? Oh I dunno...

Anyway, that website is where beautiful people meet other beautiful people... but you have to get voted on by members who decide whether you're beautiful enough to join... Sounds like your ideal forum for social interaction if you ask me! I mean, I'd join it myself but I deem myself too beautiful even for them...

Oh I dunno either, Westie. I think my crusade have endeth today. It's tiring and my head hurts from the banging off it against the walleth. I hereby end my fight for the right for 'ugly' musicians to have equal rights. Henceforth I shall be shallow and appreciate the likes of Serge Kasabian because yes, ugly people can play too, but Serge is a bit of awight and therefore gets the thumbs up from me...
