Yes, tis offensive to people who love real folk music, such as the likes of you and I, to say she heralds a new 'folk renaissance' (but then that's the bandwagon-hopping Guardian for you, much as I love it) when there's the likes of Eliza Carthy, Kathryn Williams and Kate Rusby to get excited about, but she is lovely nonetheless.

A bit bag of as predictable and safe as tooth kind ribena rats bollocks but how much fun did the Gorillaz song look for the kids, hats off to them for that and not allowing Damon Allbran out can only be a good thing.

Yeah that was fun. Enjoyed the Kanye West bit too. All the rest was awful (especially seeing that twat Karl Power invading an event again)

Yeah, caught bits of it; predicatable, but fun. Had to turn it off though when Coldplay came up to accept that last award.

I caught the tail end of Gorillaz and whilst I liked the cartoon band graphics I hate anything with a choir or, even worse, a choir of kiddies - it just gets my heart-tugging alarm bells ringing (or is that the tinnitus again, nurse?). Patronising waffle. Hey teacher/Damon, leave those kidz alone!! Don't get me started, grrr.

And did you see the suit and skirt gyrating to 'Dirty Harry'? Did we really need to see that? No, we didn't. Nor did I need to see that tosspot-runneth-over tit Chris-goodness-Evans in his velvet jacket in front of some gigantic flower display. If you must suck up to each other, we don't want to see it thanks...at least I don't.

And when Coldpay walked up (a relief, they weren't singing/whingeing) it was time to switch over. To see something about the UN criticising the yanks about guatanamo. Sort of puts things into perspective. Although, I only know about either due to power of TV....

i can't locate the charm in kt tunstall's music either. and having hippie dippy rainbow coloured guitar strap does make bland overproduced mor pop shit into "folk".

i was out watching (and playing in) bands too and am glad i didn't see this.
