Anyone recommend any?, loads I have fancied over the years but they seem to take ages to come down in price. The Super Furry Animals dvd's are good, got a couple of live ones, Bowie's reality tour one of the better ones and, if it's your sort of thing, the DJ Shadow effort is v good.

It's 20 quid on Amazon but got it for 9 in Selectadisc.

the led zeppelin double disc live dvd they brought out in 2003 is prob the best music dvd iv ever bought, outstanding stuff! probably still pretty expensive though

Belle & Sebastian's Fans Only is the best one I've seen; it's my comfort DVD.

For those of you who haven't seen them The Divine Comedy live at the Palladium and Jeff Buckley's Mystery White Boy are great. And I'll second the B & S one, it's fantastic. Elvis: That's The Way It Is is supposed to be brilliant too, I have it but haven't got around to watching it yet.

I've just been watching Dig, the movie of the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Dandy Warhols feud. It's brilliant - it captures everything about being in an indie band, it's really exciting and also terribly sad, plus the music is astonishing (the BJM rather than the Dandys). Anton Newcombe has disowned it but I'm sure he loves the fact that it adds massively to his mystique. I bought it on Region 1 import through Amazon (it's only just received a cinema release here), with masses of stuff on the bonus disc, and it only cost about £12.

I recently purchased the 'Pleasue Heads Must Burn' DVD of The Birthday Party. Theres some fascinating live performances and its great to see Nick Cave in full distainful post-punk mode. The DVD isnt very long though and theres little else apart from live shows so thats a bit of a shame but maybe thats all the footage they had.
