Oh come on!!!!!! Everybody loves it! It's a wonderful 'too many hours' extravaganza where you get to feel superior for once in your life - normally my tribe get the beers in and we sit in wonder, trying to decipher lyrics, while doing the Bucks Fizz shuffle. I watch it for Wogan alone - his commentary creases me up. And then there's the score boards and hosts who couldn't organise a piss up in.... nil point....and what about the fake smiles as the cameras zoom around the tacky table set ups with cheap wine and dodgy flags..'There's the Slovenejdcjvguvgfgkvgiu entry...not sure he should be smashing that cheap bottle of plonk over the head of the entry I can't pronounce....' In the words of my nun headmistress before she went to heaven...'It's so bad, it's good'.

I watched the results so I can't comment on the "quality" of the music. However I thought Terry Wogan was an utter disgrace. He's not even British and yet his regular, childish outsbursts of xenophobic sour grapes were stereotypically Daily Mail or UKIP. They belong in that enlightened era that gave us "Love Thy Neighbour" - which is basically the accusation he levelled at all Eastern European countries. So as a "British" citizen, did he think the UK should give its close neighbour, France, 12 points? Of course not. Up Yours, Delors, etc. He's an absolute arse.

And Terry, for next year it's UKRAINE not f-ing THE UKRAINE, you ignorant, sad, suited syrup.
