Not the live recording types but the art of mixing two or more different tracks together, usually putting a familiar dance beat to indie or rock guitar/vocals or rap to a rock track. This is a pretty good site for it:

check - its where Mark Vidler (Go Home Productions and ex member of Chicane (the excellent guitar band not the chill out merchants) normally releases his boots first. There are some excellent choons, as the kids would say, on it

Cheeky. I bought that superb Best Bootleg Album Ever when it came out 3 years ago so I've hardly just caught on - I just appreciate that not everyone on this site will be familiar with the idea.

So you always had a bootleg element to your collection.

I met Mark Vidler a few years back. I used to live it a house that had a studio and Chicane recorded a few tracks there. They had some good tracks - sadly my ex took them when we split!
