i agree with that totally, there was a total lack of excitement about it.
i know it must be difficult on the 90th date of a tour but...
the last time i saw them they were completely awesome (horrible phrase but there is no other way to describe it) asked to follow the polyphonic spree who had left the astoria a gibbering wreck, they just blew the place apart
on saturday they were just another band with a pretty cool bassist

I thought Interpol were OK at Brixton. Not as good when I saw them last year at the Forum which as Jimgibb states could have been described as "awesome".

I have to say, I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO* looking forward to Interpol, but got stuck at the back, couldn't see anything behind the mixing desk, and generally just thought they were...ok.

There was nothing wrong with the performance, but nothing amazingly right about it either. Just OK.

It's very retro, sort of like the stuff you hear at Mod clubs but it's one cool album.
