The Dresden Dolls Sing

Sing is the first offering from The Dresden Dolls' forthcoming album Yes, Virginia.... The Bohemian Bostonians have thus far been continually under-rated, and receive more attention for their "theatrical" individualism than they do for their music.

Sing sees the melodrama taken down a few notches and replaced with more poignancy, held together by a lilting piano and Amanda Palmer's vocals, which start gentle and end up booming. It's a thoughtful yet undeniably positive little ditty, which extols the virtues of song to everyone, from "presidents" to "terrorists". I'm not entirely sure George W can hold a tune though...
