I concur are a Leeds based guitar band built on a love of music Americana and delicate post-rock. Bands such as The National, Mogwai, Wilco and Low come high on their list of influences. Shades of post rock fly about coupled with atmospheric indie music with infectious melodies, cohesive arrangements & heart-wrenching vocals.
Their impressive indie rock with epic post-rock sound will feature on the next Dance to The Radio compilation which includes the likes of Forward Russia, The Pigeon Detectives, Shut Your Eyes and You'll Burst into Flames along with other friends and favourites of the WotGodForgot cause such as Vessels who played a stormer at one of our recent gigs. Drowned in Sound said ‘I Concur are an audaciously seductive four piece seemingly in awe of the moodier, atmosheric side of post rock ' and we think so too..
'i concur' hit the mean streets of Manchester next week as part of their brief summer tour to 'celebrate' the release of their EP "Whatever it's Going to Be" which Vibrations magazine made their Single of the Month in July.

The Pattern Theory (Leeds – Rock/Experimental)
Quoting Tortoise, Don Caballero/Battles, Steve Reich, Brian Eno, The Shadows, The Ventures, The Surfaris, Gong, Captain Beefheart/Zappa as their influences you can see that their personal musical tastes are all over the place. The band create a mathematical take on 60s Surf Instrumental music that these Leeds College of Music students jokingly call Post –Surf. OK, so the band don’t go around wearing Hawaiin shirts giving everyone ‘the shaka’ and talking in surfer speak but strangely that tongue in cheek remark is probably the best way of describing their instrumental sound – either that or they sound like The Shadows gone wrong. These dudes support I Concur on their summer tour. Totally, rad.

Cyril Snear
Moving from their roots to live in Manchester to further their musical careers is a bold step that has worked for only a few bands but it was one that three piece Cyril Snear felt they had to take. Quoting the likes of Sigur Ros, Oceansize, Radiohead as influences, the band produce a laid back gentle sound akin to Aphex Twin playing Tortoise covers with the added bonus of intelligent lyrics. We saw them earlier this year supporting Laymar and we were more than impressed. What their home town of Chester lost is Manchester’s gain and we at WotGodForgot are certainly glad to add them to our rosta of bands that have played for us.

The Search Map
The guys and gals of Manchestermusic.com know a good band when they see/hear one and who would doubt their words of wisdom? The Search Map self released a three track demo “Tiny Victories” earlier this year and MM awarded it 4.5 headmaster’s gold stars making it ‘Demo of the Week’. MMs judgement was reinforced by others such as Leeds Music Scene who gave the release 4/5 saying the band ‘deliver a frail and fractured, dreamy and downbeat sound – if Mogwai, International Airport, The Postal Service and Anticon were to have a child, they would name it The Search Map’.
What do they sound like? Well have a listen to their tracks on Myspace and you can hear Fourtet, Boards of Canada, Modest Mouse a touch of Deerhoof with a splash of Mogwai and even Pavement. Subtle guitars, atmospheric synths, electronic beats and live drums underpinned with lyrics that make you think the world’s a nice place. WGF recommends “Our House Fell Down (But Now We Can See The Stars)”
