This is gonna be so good. DEXATEENS sound like a proper band admonishing a good kicking to the Queens of Leon. WINNERS, I have to say are probably my fave London band who haven;t encumbered themselves with a major label contract...yet. So much for the hype, here's the info: DEXATEENS (Tuscaloosa, AL) One of our very favourite bands down here at the ‘mill, the Dexateens return to mash the place up with their punky southern rock. Current album ‘Hardwire Healing’ was produced by Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers and some archive material will be released by London-based Dell Orso Records to coincide with this tour. This is gonna be wild! ’Hardwire Healing’ finds the Dexateens completing their transformation, ditching the hootin' and hollerin' altogether for a full on embrace of their native South; the result is a tradition-indebted country rock sound that distills the frenzied energy of their frantic stage show into a concentrated, twangy broil.
