is a new quarterly night set up by and so they and their friends can spin their favourite discs to anyone who wants to listen and maybe have a dance. Alongside the regular dose of indie pop, alternative rock, Swedish sounds and girl bands there will be a theme running through each night. This may comprise of tracks from one particular label, a band, a city or even a year! The first night will be on Saturday 26th May 2007 taking place upstairs at the with guest DJ Phil King (Lush, Felt, Jesus and Mary Chain). The theme will be Creation Records from Meat Whiplash to the Boo Radleys, The Bodines to Oasis, Primal Scream to erm, Primal Scream! It's free entry and runs from 8pm - 1am. 2 Haverstock Hill, Camden NW3 2BL (opposite Chalk Farm tube). |

Sadly Phil King has had to pull out - we will get him back another time. However I am delighted to say that our guest DJ's for the début Soup Kitchen Night will be Andy and Emma from who will be spinning some tunes to our delight. The Pocketbooks new single is out now on . The Pocketbooks - Anyone have any requests for this night from the Creation Records back catalogue? |
