The last time Apartment played for us the Turtle was sold out by 10pm and the johnny-come-lately NME journalist couldn't get in. How we laughed. This is a gig for the fans, us included. Elegant, sophisticated and upliftingly gloomy the band have toured Europe extensively and are currently promoting their new split EP with labelmates The Far Cries.

Neat People
Neat People hail from Essex and have in recent months found their brand of cheery indiepop brilliance on XFM and supporting the Bluetones on tour. Lovely, quirky and very special. Go discover recent underground indie hit "Phillipa Future" on their Myspace if you haven't already.

How much do we love 586? Everytime they play for us they seem to be closer and closer to mega pop stardom. Now promoting debut single "We Got Bored" the band have found themselves on Radio 1, XFM and MTV2. Their anarchic blend of slightly mental caberet discopunk indie is shaping up to be the sound of Summer '06. You have been warned.

Popular Workshop
"Catchy and abrasive, it pulses with energy and hooks. The songs get under your skin, immediate yet with enough depth that after the umpteenth play you're still trying to unravel the lyrics." - John Kennedy, Demo of the month in Spill Magazine. And they've had a session on Xfm. Seriously, they could headline and we're utter gits for putting them on early. Still, it means you get your money's worth if you arrive before 8:30.
