i don't really have much to offer in this regard. i once stayed at mark knopfler's house. i left my favourite shirt there. and i once spent a happy evening backstage at an offspring gig talking with tommy vance. he was really nice. as mentioned the other day i may have been the last person to have seen rod hull alive. i used to be a rickshaw rider and took: alex james, tara palmer tomkinson (who wrote about it the next day in the times), three of the all blacks, that bloke off the flash adverts and ken livingstone. i also met ross off friends although he couldn't be persuaded to take a ride. my mate nick (a bass player and beatles obsessive) took macca. twice. the best celebrity fare i had was suggs though. i took him from soho to lauryn hill's album launch in kensington somewhere (he thought it would be funny to be photographed pulling up at a super posh tux and limo type do in a rickshaw). sadly for him though my chain came off in the hyde park corner underpass and he had to get out and push. oh and i met vic reeves the other day. i was too shy to say anything. my mate rich has had a poo at dani minogue's house, got drunk with slash and survived being hit on by donna air. but i'm not him so none of that counts. |
