Have ye seen this? Hard living rock legend Lemmy Kilminster says heroin should be legalised despite the fact the rocker hates the drug. Motorhead's singer and bassist was invited to give an address by the Welsh Assembly yesterday evening at the request of Tory Assembly member William Graham. "It not only destroys a person's life, first it turns them into a thief and a liar," said the no-nonsense frontman of the best live band on the planet. He added: "Heroin is the symptom, infection the almost incurable disease. It's on the streets of your constituencies and it's not going to get better if you keep on treating it the way you have. I hate the idea but I believe the only way to treat heroin is to legalise it." |
