| Post subject: | February Charity Gig: venue suggestions please |
Charity gig referred to below being resheduled (February likely) but need suggestions for venues that can be hired (give capacity and things like costs etc please) on a late week night (e.g. Thursday / Friday) to maximise punter numbers. I thank you. ____________________________________________________________ Some mates are organising a gig to raise money for Disaster Relief (Pakistan earthquake). I think they've still to confirm it but the planned details are: Date - 18th November Venue - 291 Club, Shoreditch. http://www.291gallery.com/ Cost - £6 (all profits to charidee) The Delta Blues are arranged but I understand that some other bands have pulled out and, therefore, about TWO replacements are needed. Anyone out there able to help? No fees for the night ('cos it's charity etc etc) but I'm told there can be a rider and that some industry types are due to attend. |

Plum Promotions are possibly the people to talk to as they run nights at Marquee Club Leicester Square, Water Rats Kings Cross, Betsey Trotwoods Farringdon and Plan B Brixton. Their website is www.plummusic.com, the woman who seems to be a key player is Nikki and she is very nice and accomodating. The Spice Of Life in Soho is another possible venue but it's quite small. Depending on dates then my band will put in an appearance for nowt, we will try and get another date the day before or after to cover the costs, p-m me the contact details and I'll get you a cd. |
