Incredible u-turn. I'm pleased for Liverpool because it's wrong that 2 clubs (Chelsea and Real Madrid) can just cherry pick the best players in the world but the guy's lost a lot of credibility over all this. It'll be interesting if the real reason for him stopping will ever get revealed - realisation that he's handled it all badly, that the fans didn't believe him and the inevitable backlash that would follow? or just that Owen, who's a good chum of his maybe won't be at Madrid so he'll be isolated? |

Steven Gerrard in 1985 proudly wearing the colours of the team who he has always supported from childhood although it is alledged it may also be his cousin, who to my knowledge has never signed for Liverpool like so many other toffee fans (Fowler, McManaman der ner ner ner,, Owen et al) . Ho hum............. |
