I was supposed to be at the gig last night but the guest list I was on failed to be handed in at the reception of the Astoria so myself and various others gave up waiting after an hour. Anway, it was a ridiculously late start - 5 bands on with 1st at 9pm and Babyshambles not due on till midnight (those who go down the Astoria regularly at weekends will know it's normally an early finish and kick-out to fill up the place again for a G-A-Y disco). Seems Babyshambles didn't play anyway with inevitable riot ensuing...



Doherty really is a genuine Villain of the Year.

Only bright spot of that part of the evening was seeing Terry Hall who appeared to be with his sons.

Isn't Terry Hall looking rough these days? The last photo I saw of him looked like he had been sleeping on the streets for the past few weeks.

I think he was wearing the same clothes as well. Obviously not the eye-linered ponce of Funboy Three days, and the wayward hair hasn't seen a stylist in 20 odd years....

Interesting link BJ. But a security guard (allegedly) making a whip from electric cable and beating a kid? Didn't realise they had aposal thumbs for such work. Have to say a lot of the security last night were of the intimidatory school of (c)harm - 'What you standing there for?' 'Move!' with a body language that shouts 'you fuck with me, you fuck with the best my friend'. Saw two people getting narked with security and they'd only just walked through, and there was a bit of a tasty 'rumble' at the doors as well. Of course, if we hadn't waited around for a no-show guest list we would have missed all this. Still, wait to see if the bloke's pictures materialise...

Mmm.. interesting link indeed. The pictures would certainly be interesting.

Apparently Doherty is to be on 'Newsnight' this Tuesday to do with his being top of the NME Cool List and the great drug debate. It's unlikely to slow down it would appear.
