Thought he did well in the French Open. Coming back to full fitness in time for Wimbledon. I've just seen that he's appointed Amelie Mauresmo as his new coach. I'm not sure how many women coach men, but I'm sure she'll do a grand job, no reason why not. Given some rather harsh comments during her career about how she's slightly masculine, I thought it was a bit of an unfortunate mistake that the BBC run the story with the following URL though! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/wrestling/27753848 Oops.. |

Urrgh. I'm not a feminist but their coverage of it this morning on telly was awful. I nearly chocked on my cornflakes. This is how it came across (from a female presenter which made it even worse) 'A WOMAN, yes with tits and a wotsit is coaching a MAN, yes a man with a penis'. I thought I had woken up in days of gone by. Why even mention that she is a woman? She's a coach. Anyway I pity her, having to work with it. I'm amazed that an amazing man like Ivan lasted as long as he did with it before it dumped him like a piece of crap. |

If you get your independence later this year then you can have your own Fed cup team to support! And I bet they'd get stuffed by France! There is bound to be publicity about something like this. Imagine if a woman got the Spurs job or something? That would be a watershed moment. And Keys and Gray would have a field day! |
