So, to compliment the classic song of the day - how about a thread where we post about a classic album every day or 1 a week. Or whenever we feel like but no more than 1 a day. Thoughts? |

Sounds good! I try and keep up with everything posted in the classics and new music threads, but this past month I just haven't been able too. I've got way too much work, I've been away for 3 weeks, I'm flipping ill thanks to the all powerful drugs companies and I'm getting married next week. So another thread might be a bit much - and as a rule I follow them more than others because I'm sat in front of a computer all day whereas other regulars have things like lives. So I wonder how much stuff actually gets listened to? Sooo.... I'd suggest do it - but make it an album a week. That way people are less likely to gloss over it (if it's one they don't know) and more likely to find the odd half hour to give it/some of it a listen. |

Er, everyone ignore the rambling pill popping Kev, it's a top idea, Trev. I listen to 90% of the Classics of the Day. Not necessarily on the day they're posted but I usually get round to them. Been some really good finds through it. |

I like the idea, but not sure if the forum can take another daily thread, unless we retire one of the existing ones. Might work as a weekly thread, but if my weekly top five idea is anything to go by, it's in danger of being stillborn. I've just posted my third top five in a row, as it's again reached the last day of the week without anyone else posting. Anarchy keeps saying he & Mickey The Moog have great ideas for the thread, but never post them. Maybe it's just the top five idea that's bad and not the idea of a weekly thread. Personally, I liked the idea, both of a top five thread and of making it weekly for the reasons Kev has outlined. p.s. the new week for the weekly top five starts at midnight tonight, if anyone (Anarchy?) can be arsed. |

I have more potential top 5s but have been keeping them because of the reasons you mentioned above! It'll end up just being you and me taking turns! |
