Dandelion Radio has just published the Festive Fifty for 2009 (thanks to Bola’s blog for telling me it was out). It’s here: http://www.dandelionradio.com/2009festive50.htm Predictable in places, interesting in parts – shocked that the Humms were only 36, delighted to see Fuck Buttons at 4, pleased that Ginger Tom made it so high (with a song I haven’t heard), and still scratching my head about the appeal of Los Campesinos. And oh my god, I’ve just noticed that MJ Hibbett is in the chart. I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke when he’s not pissed but he’s fallen out of the twee tree, hitting every sugary and in-jokey branch on the way down. |

I voted for Grizzly Bear's Two Weeks. Future of the Left were also on my list, but I opted for Chin Music which sadly doesn't appear. |
