Hmm. In the cold light of day, and in retrospect.... It's really cos of 1. The fact it was SO decisive 2. The fact that Henry guided it with his fingers, so deliberately and obviously 3. The fact that ROI had outplayed them for the rest of the game (despite f***ing up numerous chances to win it) I think these were the reasons I was so angry about it. Am still angry, in fact. I still think Henry's a c***, and him coming out now saying the game should be replayed - just damage limitation, trying to preserve his 'good guy' image - make sure the endorsements aren't affected. Yeah, there's no chance they will replay it, anyway. And that's the correct course of action, however distasteful the whole thing is. We know what we saw. He's a cheating c***. A multimillionaire cheating c***, who's going to the world cup finals. It happens... |
