Satf Landan innit. My mate's son is in a band who shared a bill with them recently. Said they are a complete bunch of cunts (he didn't use that word being a nice middle class sort but his strongly expressed twenty words equated to that one).

They're not cunts. Always been decent to work with but then I did help save one from a nightmare kicking one night.

To me, the face of the lead singer is the face of a nasty, snarling, son of Thatcher's children, binge-drinking, boorish, knife-carrying, hatred-fuelled Britain that we inhabit today.

The songs are half-decent though, and on their website they (or the Record Company) are careful to constantly namecheck Ian Dury, Chris Difford et al in order that we know they're 'real'.

i think there's a public image going on here along the lines of a band that are supposed to be nasty and hateful eg The View as well. They're nice enough and when they were on TV the guitar player gave major props to Rum Shebeen by putting their name on his hand and the cameraman zoomed in loads. Cunts dont do that kind of thing for other bands they believe in.

My girlfriend used to go out with the singer.

They seem ok. They're getting a lot of shit because they keep saying they're from Peckam but they're from Dulwich really and one of them went to private school, but the music isn't bad, they references Ian dury, Squeeze, and they are only 18. Can't imagine putting a record out at 18.

I think they have a future, it's just that at the moment they only write songs for teenagers, so it doeasn't really say much. Plus they don't realise that pretending your hard and throwing things is rock and roll cliche number one. The being chucked off tour with the coral because they broke some of their equipment was just stupid. Needless to say it would have been a lot worse for them if they tried to touch "Rasputin the frankenkit" the practice drumkit kit that i've had since i was 15.

I wish them the best though, 2nd 3rd album will probably be really good.
