Went to see them last night, Bovey was in attendance too. Thought they were quite good but reminded me of the alt-country Scouting For Girls in places. Were they really worthy of band of the year in the SXP polls last year? |

I saw them live at ATP and although I enjoyed it their set didn't quite reach the dynamic heights created on the albums. I'll pretend no one mentioned Scouting For Girls. |

I meant more if Scouting For Girls did alt-country this could well be the end result. I said it to the girl stood in front of me who was going mental too and she said that Scouting For Girls are her 2nd favourite act! |

I have to say they were a lot rockier than I expected. I also think last year was a fairly poor year for LPs. This year's already delivered about 6 or 7 real gems that I've been playing to death. |

I'd have liked to be there, but I was at the Scala. Jens Lekman was good but the sound was scandalously bad. He wasn't quite as good as at the Luminaire but he had a band with him this time - made up of beautiful Swedes - so he was more "dancey". Bon Iver was stunningly good. The crowd was inhumanly tall. |
