Released on 2nd November online and 6th December in shops, this recording sees New York based Wooden Ghost[b] (featuring [b]Moldy Peaches founder member on guitar and vocals) take their innocent and yet biting songwriting further into the realms of post Neil Young alt.country. However, there sound is more of a lo-fi approximation of the genre, lending to a more endearing and honest sound than is currently heard in many apparent alt.country releases.
For this release, Lionshare have written a song which, is in stark contrast to their last release. With a traditional song structure, this songs take influence from Jim O'Rourke in the way it is layered and textured. It could be described as an English country song... Think Nick Drake meets Will Oldham!
All artwork commissioned for each 7" release and drawn by Ms. Lucy Graves. 300 copies. Printed using black lithograph on rust coloured textured card.
