Thanks to the excellent Radio DownloaderI have filled my mp3 player up with all sorts of stuff to keep me amused during my travels to work and back.

Currently keeping me amused is BBC's Newcastles Beat Surrenderprogramme which plays anything from Mod to baggy so long as it has guitars in it. The fella presenting it also does a soul showwhich I haven't checked out yet.

So are there any other programmes (excluding dandelion Radio) I should be tuning into (or downloading) on a regular bais reagrdless of whether they are regional or national?

Oh - and my Dad actually does a cracking new music show on Monday nights. It basically a bit like mine but presented by him because he gets most of the music from my blog and my old promos...

Last night he was blasting out some Chains Of Love, The Lykes Of Yew, Cate Le Bon, Seapinks and Gemma Ray amongst others.

Did you discover them via me?

Love what I've heard so much I bought an album on tape even though I have no tape deck...

Why aren't you doing a show then? Is it because of personality clashes (not with your dad obviously)

I quit because of the way the station is being run and because of something the guy who runs it did and the way he treated me. (no rude jokes please)

I actually haven't mentioned Seapinks on my site so my Dad must have found them himself. Have you featured them on here? I've got a song of theirs on itunes but only the 1.
