It was, it was.
Spurs were unlucky, of course - totally bossed the game. But they wasted so many opportunities that there was always a chance they'd be punished for their profligacy. Newcastle have suffered from that often in the past, and it was nice for once to be on the side dishing out the lesson.
Plus: although Spurs play some very good approach play these days, I've always felt their two main strikers - Keane and Defoe - are all fur coat and no knickers. Lots of clever flicks and audacious touches, but (once the applause has died down) not all that many goals.
When Martins shot (and he'd been poor up till then) I thought "oh you wasteful bastard". My mood changed about 0.3 of a second later.
