oh nothing exciting.
i just got really fed up with a couple of regular posters on there and decided to not go back. rather embarassingly my low-key dissapearance was in the middle of a "let's all make a mix tape cd for each other" love-in type thing, so i got sent a bunch of cool (and some shit) cds and never reciprocated. so i'm probably not very welcome there now anywhere.
i was a fairly regular contributor for about a year prior to that and like i said, there are some really nice folk on there. there are also rather a lot of trendier-than-thou art fags, uber right-on lefty nutbags and a few near suicidal sociopathic loners. it can be a dark and scary place.
most of the writers are okay though. ET being the famously bad-tempered feminist flagwaver that he is does seem to attract quite a few of aggressively wimpy sensitive wall flower types. but he's not a bad cove all in all i don't think. when i left i didn't make any "goodbye" announcements. i just emailed ET to say: i like the mag and will continue to buy it but that i'd had enough of all the pretentious posturing on the forum. he wrote back straight away to thank me and claimed to feel the same way about all that bollocks.
basically i just woke up one day and found the whole scene a bit pretentious.
