So we find ourselves having this debate again - smokers are within their rights of course to tell the non-smokers to stay at home if they are offended by the 'polluted' atmosphere - i'm a non-smoker blah de blah, dad died of lung cancer etc and I can't stress enough how angry this anti-smoking shit makes me feel - it is taking away peoples' rights - smokers' rights - I couldn't give a flying fack about smoke fumes - i've worked in bookies and bars all my life and inhaled all the 'ciggie smoke' safe in the knowledge that the car exhaust fumes had filled my lungs with shit long before the fag hags had got to me. If non-smokers don't like smoke don't go out to bars - stay indoors, safe in your clean air environment - why should your social life come before the nicotine heads?

Smoking is a disgusting habit, I've always hated it and the older I become the less tolerant I get :twisted:

I wouldn't draw the line just pubs, it annoys the fuck out of me when people light up next to me on the station platform, if I can smell it I'm inhaling it and I don't get up at 6.30am to wash my hair only to have some bastard make it smell of cigarette smoke.

I find it offensive if a smoker even sits next to me on the train with the smell of the stale smoke on their clothes invading my nostrils, (I had a freelancer who was a smoker sat next to me at work for 7 weeks and how I never punched him I'll never know.) I think people should only be allowed to smoke in the privacy of their own home, apart from my ex-hubby who is too scared of me to smoke in his own home when I go round
