Does XP have a view on the above Newcastle four-piece? I only ask because I was at Uni with the guitarist. Have they popped up on your radar at all?

Some blurb and a song here: http://www.rightchordmusic.co.uk/first-signs-of-love-160-mechanical-mouse-organ/

Not saying I like them - the song's OK, but a bit middle of the road for me. Just wondered what their rep was.

Couldn't tell you about their rep, but like you, I think that song's OK. Perhaps a little mainstream but that's not always a bad thing. They seem to know what they're doing and they do it well.

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

Just backtracking a bit - I'd forgotten all abouut this conversation until I saw the thread topic today.

A couple of weeks after this I got a promo link to review their album - probably one of my fave albums of the year. Much better than I said when I heard that one song you posted. Vey good band - didn't realise back then that some of them used to be in Hig either.
