Pale Man Made
Pale Man Made take touches of the best 80s and 90s music, add a caustic commentary on working life, relationship problems, animals, politics and snooker players and engulf the whole thing in a melodic whirlwind of boy-girl fuzz. Think the best Scottish pop (The Pastels, The Shop Assistants, Orange Juice) blended with the angst and ferocity of The Wedding Present, all clouded by a gentler take on the heady fuzz of My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus and Mary Chain.
"A Thing To Treasure" was the NME's verdict on the debut album Red Box Secrets.

The Rileys
After a short but very creative career as Feverfew, the band that features Keith and Paul of later Blueboy, they changed their name and personal to become The Rileys. After releasing a stunning split seven inch with Feverfew on A Turntable Friend Records, they finally realesed on Elefant Records. Amazing Indie-Pop with a small splash of Soul of the beginning 90s. There and back again lane
"This EP was truly indiepop gold and now even better than ever". Trip TV on the split FeverFew /Rileys reissue on Dufflecoats Records
The Nature Set
Nature Set is the guitar-pop collaboration of Claire (synth/vox) Daf (gtr/vox), Marie (drums/vox) and Reenie (bass/vox) who were in either Navvy or The Long Blondes. In the past 12 months have had singles out on Dufflecoat Records and Spains cult Elefant label.

The Ritas
"I arrive to catch The Ritas in full swing, a pair of Morrissey fans exiled from Weimar Berlin. A whirl of braces, epaulettes, Sparks couture and home-made drum machine punk; Dietrich meets Durutti Column. They make their pointed point and leave us with a cover of The Smiths' 'Jeane' to savour. They mean it man, but they're teasing too: call it play as you yearn." thegirlsare.com
