WotGodForGot, The Retro Bar, Sackville Street, Manchester M1 3NJ 2/07/08 8pm £4.00 (guest list available to bands and friends of WGF) Serpentine Pad Brilliant scuzzy, alternative, grunge, punk. This five piece are reminiscent of Sonic Youth, Pixies, Slater Keaney and Interpol and how many bands do you know would really love you to say that about them! Tunes that get your head nodding, feet tapping and brain working. If you are a fan of the Pixies, the Sonics and even Pavement then you’ll just love Serpentine Pad. (www.myspace.com/serpentinepadmusic) Breaking Colts Jo-Jo and Lianne are of course well known to the Manchester Music scene in their earlier incarnation as Jackie-O/Fight Club but now play goliath head-butting riff rock that soundtracks Kong and The Barbarians kicking the shit out of The Ramones and Sonic Youth. Choppy riffs and black stilettos underpinned by great bass and drums.
