We're very pleased to be back at The Phoenix this Saturday for the second central London HDIF of the year. Our guest DJ is Dickon Edwards of Fosca, who last DJ-ed at HDIF on New Year's Eve 2006. He's an excellent DJ and I'm looking forward to seeing what he has planned for us.

I'll also be unveiling the HDIF Winter Collection 2007. This week I'll be giving the HDIF playlist one of its periodic shake ups - adding new songs and new bands, and resurrecting songs that I haven't played at the club for years. I played "Keep On Keeping On" by The Redskins at the Windmill on Friday for the first time in three years, and it sounded magnificent - all soul fire, passion and pure danceability - so I'll be packing more of that spirit into the Winter Collection.

To that end, I'd like your suggestions please. For:
(1) Songs that I never play by HDIF favourites. Is there a song by, say, The Smiths, Belle & Sebastian or Camera Obscura that you wish you could hear at HDIF but haven't yet? Tell me and I'll add it to the collection
(2) Songs by new bands. Aching to hear Operator Please or Au Revoir Simone at HDIF? Nominate your new favourites here!
(3) Songs by old bands. In with old, in with the new. Which jangle pop or C86 classic have I been neglecting?
(4) Old favourites, currently residing in the "Did you used to play that?" file. What should I resurrect from the HDIF playlists of yore?

I won't be nominating an indie and soul song of the week, but I can reveal that the Remit Breaker will be, in tribute to Jarvis who's playing at the Astoria on Saturday, a song by Pulp. Not entirely sure which one yet, but I've got a few ideas.

That's it. Hope to see you on Saturday!

Ian x
