Decided to use Firefox in the office and have downloaded Ad Blocker which allows you to click on any advert or image you don't want to appear. I've added the SXP logo and all the smileys to it. Now at first glance it almost looks like I'm doing some work rather than wasting my time and yours by frequenting this cyberasylum.

Any more tips?

:D I'm not workshy. I just finished my novel!!!!!!!!!!! I am screaming and running around the room, in between typing. I thought I would share this with you all. After a shite time, something good has happened to me. It is true that the writer lives on a diet of misery and madness. I just have to edit it now. Hoofeckingray! As you were.

Who knows Jim, ey? You and I are in the book game. Some will love it, some will hate it. As for publishers, VV, i'm giving myself a week or two to edit it and then i'm running off five copies for the publishing houses of my choice (another copy goes to my bank manager twin's vault for protection) And then, who knows? If none of them want it, i'll publish it myself. I can buy a barcode and run of x amount of copies, i'll start my own publishing business. Either way it's my life's achievement to date. It's only been 8 yrs in the making from idea to final word. Hope the next one doesn't take as long! I am getting wrecked now. Bye!
P.S Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh Fernando

Congratulations, Mary! You must let me read it all. (And Jim, from what I've read of it, it's bloody marvellous.)

But Cavey I thought your book was already in circulation...

That's quite a nom de plume you got there.

Seriously though, congratulations! The next beer I crack open will be in your honour madame!

(And this good news may give me the kick up the arse I need to write my novel. It's gonna be about this detective chap who investigates this theory that the descendants of Christ are still walking among us like. He traces the bloodline back to clues left in a painting by this famous Italian artist dude... reckon there's 'nuff mileage in that plot)

Jim, I can't contain it because I want to join that group now! With or without the publishing/talk. I love book groups (and if you could see my face now you would know that sarcasm is a stranger to that sentence) I really love them. Cheers Tim ( ) and Westie. I want that beard book for christmas (it's Cavey porn) Yeah, you should work on that story Westie, it's got great potential and it is so original. I can see somebody like Tom Hanks in the leading role... :D

Aww, thanks for the encouragement!!! It was either that or a book about pigs who revolt and start running a farm themselves like... I figured that'd be rubbish...

(I'll stop now. The Simpsons did it first and they did it better.)
