The most boring band live in the world - Hem. I still have the scars. Everybody was going doolah for them and I was sitting there downing glass after glass thinking 'Why am I here again?' I have no idea why I was there but i'm never going there again. No talent, no humour, no nothing. I can't imagine the FL being dull, Bola? |

Oh Bola, I saw them a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It wasn't dull at all and it felt a bit dreamlike and very uplifting. I take it you weren't right in the thick of it, playing with the giant balloons and getting covered in confetti and coloured paper streamers then? I know that the format of their gigs hasn't really changed for years but it's always an experience. I got a bit bored during some of the bands at Bestival but other than that I haven't been to a gig in ages that I've found boring. |

Well each to their own! For me I thought you balloons, movie show etc were a diversion from the dull plodding sound emitting from the stage! |

Belle and Sebastian in the late 90s at The Union Chapel. They spent literally a minute between every song talking amongst themselves and swapping instruments. I walked out. |
