Inspired by events of tonight - hence the really early morning posting... *I can no longer watch horror films. I have woken up an absolute nervous wreck from a nightmare that makes Wes Craven's work look like Mr Men. The common theme? I have watched a horror tonight. There was a time when I could host horror film festivals but not any more. *I can no longer hold my alcohol. There was a time (and i'm not proud of the fact) when I could drink the best of them under the table. Now after one glass of wine I can no longer remember my name or why i'm here and have to ask bemused company for the answers over and again (slight exaggeration but not far removed from truth) *I can't bullshit in any shape or form (above * does not count) I am so direct now that more and more people want to fly me. *Compassion is becoming a stranger. With Shakespeare narrating my life on a daily basis (his best tragedy to date) i'm finding it hard to sympathise with others even when I want to. There's loads more but i'll let somebody else have a go... |
