Ok England snatched defeat from the jaws of victory but the sun's shining. So what are the records that whenever you hear them you instantly feel good, regardless of your previous mood. I'll kick off with a few:

Jackie Wilson - Your Love Keep Lifting Me Higher
The Supremes - The Happening or Lovelights Shines
Billy Bragg - Waiting for the Great Leap Forward or Upfield
Dexys - There There My Dear
Chairmen of the Board - Give Me Just a Little More Time
The Pogues - Sally MacLannane
The Libertines - Don't Look Back into the Sun
Wedding Present - Kennedy
The Monkees - Girl I Knew Somewhere
Steve Harley - Make Me Smile
Tremeloes - Here Comes My Baby
The Showmen - Our Love Will Grow

Just a few loads more... so what are yours? And having seen Spaceman's ipod list I can't believe he ever feels good...

Blimey, that has the totally opposite effect on me.

Off the top of my head some of mine would be:

Comet Gain 'Strength'
Chumbawamba 'Tubthumping'
The Breeders 'Cannonball'
Magnetic Fields 'Luckiest Guy On The Lower East Side'
Jeffrey Lewis 'Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song'
Dinosaur Jr 'Freak Scene'
Baxendale 'Music For Girls'
Pet Shop Boys 'Left To My Own Devices'
Heavenly 'P.U.N.K. Girl'
Jilted John 'Jilted John'
B*Witched 'C'est La Vie'
Spice Girls 'Stop'
S Club 7 'Don't Stop Movin''
DeLacy 'Hideaway'
Source feat Candi Staton 'You Got The Love'

I can feel a 'Happiest CD in the world....ever!' being burnt some time.

Erm if that's simply a comment about the sheer lack of quality in some of those then, hey, they're only supposed to be fun!

But if you're questioning the feel good factor then i have to beg to differ.

The Barracudas: Summer Fun
The Rivingtons: Papa Ooo Mow Mow
The Dirtbombs: Ode to a Black Man
Curtis Mayfield: Move On Up
The Fortunes: Storm in a Teacup

Lenny Valentino! Now you're talking! And how's JA naming Kicker songs that have only just been recorded within the last few minutes? I'd check that oddly shaped 'speaker' in the corner, I think you may have a pirate copier in vaguely human form in there. Or is it that great Northern Soul rip-off number you do live?

Erm, "Doris Dear" is the one we do which rips off "Lenny Valentino", that was my attempt at irony.

I did give young Myles a cdr of a rough mix, which he played at the last BHFF, so perhaps he's being circulating it.

Ho hum, home taping is killing music (but not as much as Carling Lager).

I will not bore you with the details Sir Bovine - but here's another five I want to add to my list:
Reef - Come back brighter
Mansun - Stripper Vicar
Shed Seven - Disco down
Suede - Trash
Pumpkins - 1979 (well done somebody in this thread for reminding me)
Now they always put a :D on my face.

You know that ceiling ventilator with the large bulge that was making farty noises last Monday night? Copies will be on Lewisham market at the weekend....

Nah, Lord Pip has promised me a copy. DD is a live fave of mine.

Apparently home taping is killing music. And it's illegal.
