ok, has Mr Gervais gone past his sell by date. just watch the latest Extras and I'm feeing now that Ricky is under the cosh somewhat. It's really despeatre and I suppose when you know them like I do, you kind of know how far they have gone. I first met Ricky when XFM was a pirate station and me and him were chased out of our Walthamstow digs, he had been doing this 'lard' type thing and just butting in and making smart comments on the show, he did this on the Claire Sturgess show before Bob Geldof took over fired us all. Ou show was taken over by John Kennedy, who is great and should of replaced John Peel, but I still think that he wants the more commercial chance, well, I know. But any, I digress. I think that Ricky has had his best times and now looks a bit out of his depth in the comedy world. cheers, P, |

Are you 'avin' a laugh? Are you 'avin' a laugh? You're 'avin' a laugh. Last Thursday's Extras was not one of the best but the first episode and first series were crackin'. |

I've never watched Extras. This is a lie as I caught a bit of one with David Bowie in the other day and did I laugh? You betcha. You know the one where David starts singing at the piano and gets everybody to join in....ho ho ho. |

The Office was masterful, all the way through. Extras, I've never got into. His stand-up shows are good. His episode of The Simpsons was awful and smacked of selling-out. And he's been on Jonathan Ross more times than Jonathan Ross has, the chumminess of it all is annoying. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't. |

I saw Diana Rigg's name in the opening credits and was wondering where she'd come in. What a star! Her face was total poker, sitting there with the rubber dangling over one eye! And it was an even funnier moment because it came at the end of the clip we'd been seeing over and over again in the trailer, little suspecting where Harry Potter's errant sheaf would end up. |
