Ignoring Cavey for a minute......

It depends on how much music you want to put on the music player.
If you want your whole record collection - just get a 60gb ipod. You won't be disappointed. itunes to download or convert your music is really easy to use too. None of the others really come close to the big ipods.

If you want something with less capacity you could always look at one of these or try one of the Creative players. Or a nano.
Me and the wife both have big capacity ipods and are very happy wih them.

Sorry for the outburst Captain - just that Spintherism is a mental stalker of me and JimGibb. I'll spare you the details.

Anyway, back to MP3 players. Apparently on last weeks Gadget Show (unfortunately I missed it) they did a test on the new ipod nano and its competitors including the one I mentioned earlier. Their conclusion was that the ipod nano was still the best.
