Well said, Teasy. I thought the very same thing. And Baker Street, I'm Not In Love and Livin' Thing are NOT naff. Q's safe cocktail of post-Parachutes Coldplay, Oasis and Corinne Bailey-Rae on the other hand are naff, so I couldn't care less what they tell me to like. |

Point and steer? hah. I've always been attracted to the jackboot approach to music criticism - why do it at all unless you're convinced you're right. It's about time I offered my 'record collection life laundry' service again. We all have far too many records - post a list and i shall tell you which ones to get rid of for the good of your musical health.

I will survive was a rather stupendous song destroyed by girlfriends and wives the world over who thought that by killing it with a microphone after 5 bacardi breezers it would make their ex lovers/husbands see that they had a life after them  (even though said men would not be in bar at time - no, the likes of me would be there by chance, shaking my head in dismay, while thinking 'Naff judges, 1 - people who know the truth, Nil.
Any way - I do laugh at all this poll nonsense. Let's bring the guilty pleasures movement down to it's knees, Teasy. We'll leg and wing it into the music sea where it shall bother ye no more. |

Q became completely pointless on the day Mojo first issued, because Mojo was Q only more honest about its agenda - "Stuck in the Past and Proud of It". Q's like an older brother who pretends to like new stuff just so that he can get the chance to turn you on to Curved Air (and, boy, I really should update that reference becasue that's not an older brother - that's your grandad). |
