It's 'you're' not 'your' and it's Brand not 'Brandt' And let me tell you a story - are you sitting comfortably? Sir Brand has only been sporting the pirate look for one moon whereas Danny came out of his mother's womb looking like that so you know 'nutink'. The mere fact you started off with their fashion sense suggests that you're not judging them by their music (even though you touch on that - it's more of a personal attack in my opinion and I should know because i've got a first in it) but more by what they look like and you're judging them by what they look like because you fancy/fancied them and because they rebuffed you, you've now gone quite mad like myself - and breathe... P.S - I so would - the whole band and Russell if I wasn't so tired of the male species in general but it's about the music right? And i'm so tired of saying that too. |

Hey - a one-woman Metro Riots backlash! We've been seeing them for nearly 3 years and they've very clearly developed their own sound and look over that time. The only reason for dropping in comparisons to the Zep is that the Riots are now worthy of being mentioned in the same breath. It's really funny that prospectgirl's attack actually reads like she doesn't believe a word of it and is just arguing for the sake of sticking the boot in. I couldn't speculate on the reason - I'll just leave that to Cavey! |

My my... The schoolteacher analysis of the written word seems more important to you than the open debate. I would wager here that the student fan brigade has decided to go into action in the face of an honest and unbiased opinion. How much are they paying you to wander the net wetting your knickers about everything they do? Blagged the odd guest list and a lift home in the van? Least you can do is big them up whenever you can in return isn't it? The single is tired and uninteresting. They won't be able to pull favours from Roger's contacts for much longer unless they start to show signs of being something more than a mere retro drag act. |

I've heard the on MySpace and I also saw the record in the shop but something prevented me from buying the thing. I've seen them play a couple of times and my band played a gig with them once and I was suprised how nice and down to earth they were. They've certainly paid their dues on the London gig circuit and despite the garage rock scene being long dead they're still there kicking at the foundations of the underground. Theres no doubting they're the real deal it's just that I think they lack that pizazz to elevate them up to the next level. |

Not all our reviews are pure praise I thought they were good but not great, as for Russell Brand he is alright, never seen him on tv but in person he is actually a nice guy, he came to our last soundsxp gig anyways ya hypocrites ... |
