2. Record labels who sign up shit-hot live bands only to 'disappear' them for a year without releasing anything and then return them to the live circuit as a lobotomised, corporate and clinical version of their former selves. |

shit, there's loads of stuff that's deeply irritating. top 3... 1. most of it runs like an aristocracy, thus there's NO real rebellion or even slightly challenging personalities like there used to be. 2. when i was growing up there was like 4 or 5 good indie/pop mags, now there's 1! BUT indie is more in fashion than ever...how does that work? i miss buying melody maker. 3. the whole record industry is in a funny transitional state because of the internet. lots of companies know that they're running on borrowed time. which is good i reckon. BUT, right now it means that everything is a little fucked up. kind of like when the looting starts at a riot. xxx |
