So what's the verdict on episode 1 of new series?

Thought Devid Tennant was fine and special effects/costumes, etc were good but story was a bit weak. Werewolves next week but it's the cybermen we want.

I thought twas bloody brilliant. I don't really watch Dr Who for the plotline, I watch it for the goddam retro jolly britishness of it all.

I could slate it  - the acting is cheesy, the plots (cough) but the Dr is a bloody honey this time around hey? Chris E was too serious but this Dr is Cockeresque in space and gets a thumbs up from me. Next episode looks a lot better...

I did like Chris E but yeah you're right it is Jarvis on Es and Whizz this time.

Greetings Spinny, and yep you're probably right. Either that or a perm to look like 80% of the other doctors...

That was a brill episode last night. Billy is warming to me and the Dr is hubba hubba. It's scary for kids though.

Yeh I would agree Cavey, last night's episode was pretty damn great. And as for the Dr, hubba hubba does not go far enough!

I still find Billie a bit scary though.

Ah, but that's what Dr Who is all about - last night created a whole new generation of kids hiding behind sofas. Scary but not too scary, and funny too. Princess Anne, hehehe...

I thought it was pap meself. Dave Tennant is the 21st century's answer to Sylvestor McCoy. There is no progression from Chris E's version. Hopefully the annoying git will be upstaged by K9 next week!

At which millions of women across the country decide to throw things at Bola. And probably some men too, some of my male friends find Tennant quite attractive.

It's not a question of attraction, it is a question of annoyance and with the way the series is now heading (ducks again). Hopefully the Cybermen will take him out.

No, you're wrong, Bola and the lassies are correct! :P

David Tennant is a wonderful Doctor, a brilliant actor and (like the consistently and totally unfairly dismissed Sylvester McCoy) a class clown with a fiendish dark side. Last night's really was as good as if not better than anything 60s or 70s Doctor Who threw up, as was the majority of Christopher Ecclestone's tenure.

Plus, David Tennant is very, very attractive too...

Looking at your avatar, I still think he looks like a grey bird sitting on a rock.

Depends what you're into I suppose

And I couldn't think of anything better to change my avatar to, seeing as I didn't want you all to think that I was completely obsessed with Mr Tennant, so it's a subtle clue to a band I think is fab.

A Flock of Seagulls?
Counting Crows?
Eagles?
The Ravens?

Sorry I give up as you have not ever hinted about a band with a bird in the name

I found it hilarious Tim.

But yes I know it's a crap avatar but I can never think of or find any decent ones. I just can't compete with Bov's psychotic doll.
